Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda’s most remote and untouched safari destination, located in the far northeast near the borders of South Sudan and Kenya. It is known for its vast open plains, dramatic landscapes, and rich wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and over 475 bird species. Far from crowded tourist routes, Kidepo offers a true wilderness experience and a chance to connect with nature and the local Ik and Karamojong cultures.
Early morning departure (5:00–6:00 AM) from Kampala. Drive via Lira, Gulu, and Kitgum with stopovers for meals and rest. Arrive in the evening, check in at lodge, dinner and overnight.
Morning game drive in Narus and Lomej Valleys. Spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and more. Picnic lunch in the park. Afternoon exploration of Apoka Plains and birdwatching. Optional night game drive.
Visit Ik or Karamojong communities for cultural experience. Afternoon game drive or nature walk with scenic viewpoints and photography. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
